Download Option 1: Individual Files
Download and install Quartus II Subscription Edition or Quartus II Web Edition Software. Verify that your operating system (OS) is correct, or select a different OS if you want to download the files for the other OS. On the version-specific download page, click Individual Files. Download the Altera software and device support you want. The legacy FLOATPC, FLOATNET, and FLOATLNX network licenses also require an Altera ID, NIC ID, or host ID. The FLEXlm license manager allows up to three redundant license servers to serve a network license. The first server specified is the master; use the master’s NIC ID or host ID when obtaining a license.
Download large, standalone installation files to manually install complete software and device support. Note: If you download and install only the Quartus® II software, subsequently you must also download and install the device support . You do not have to install all the device support files. You can install only the device support files that you need.

Altera Quartus II is programmable logic device design software produced by Altera, before Altera was acquired by Intel and the tool was renamed to Intel Quartus Prime. Quartus II enables analysis and synthesis of HDL designs, which enables the developer to compile their designs, perform timing analysis, examine RTL diagrams, simulate a design's reaction to different stimuli, and configure the target device with the programmer. Quartus includes an implementation of VHDL and Verilog for hardware description, visual editing of logic circuits, and vector waveform simulation.
